Let me share few thoughts with maiden issue of Katlax in-house News Letter- Sensors and Automation
It was my dream to contact you individually to seek your feedback and provide you with developments at Katlax periodical interval which now become reality with launch of this News Letter.
With acquisition of spacious factory complex in Santej, we shifted our operation at beginning of the year 2007 and having successfully passed through initial hick-ups now is the time to celebrate and share with you success story.
Katlax has set-up this complex with best facilities and systems which is evident from various Bench Marks attained. With small moderate base of OEMs today it has expanded horizontally client base & vertically products Portfolio.
Today our portfolio of clients spread all across 4 continents and product portfolio from preliminary Proximity Sensors (Inductive, Capacitive, Optical, Magnetic) to Hi-tech Hall/MR Sensors, Micro Controller based Instrumentation to complicated Logistic Solutions for hazardous cargo & Assets Tracking through GPS.
There are few more exciting news that we filed patent applications for Innovative Inventions, one is “Field Programmable Smart Sensors” and second one ESMS. Both these patents are published by Indian Patent Office and Austrian Patent office for EU Region. Our ESMS Solution is big success and we have implemented the same with fleet of 12000 Oil Tankers of HPCL through MTIL & CMC and OIL. In short we are aiming to provide total solution in Sensors & Automation.
We did major foray into Energy Distribution (CNG & PNG) and successfully implemented Data Acquisition System (DAS) for Ahmedabad City Gas Distribution for Adani Energy Ltd.with Honeywell as channel partner. |

In 2010 for operational efficiency, we split our operation into 3 SBUs viz. Sensors & Field Devices Group (SFDG), Interface Products Group (IPG), Controllers & Instrumentation Group (CIG) which are independent cost and profit centers.
As major initiative to expand business in co-operative model, we began private labeling of our products and our IPG portfolio has made major penetration of private label in Europe & Latin America other than few MNCs in India. Our participation in Messe Hannover 2010 was great success as we received sizeable number of visitors and encouraging business.
As you all know Katlax began its journey way back in 1992 from small 2 BHK rented premises with strong commitment to build World Class Company.
While we started with everything tiny i.e. space, product, turn-over but with your constant patronage and timely support, Katlax has grown in all spears and today it is well received brand all over the world which is evident from its associations with National & International clientele.
I hope our editorial team will address to various issues concerned to your interest and make this letter true communication bridge between all of us.
