X'Bee-Wireless

X'Bee is a low-cost, low-power, wireless mesh network standard. The low cost allows the technology to be widely deployed in wireless control and monitoring applications. Low power usage allows longer life with smaller batteries. Mesh networking provides high reliability and more extensive Range. The technology is intended to be simpler and less expensive than other WPANs such as Bluetooth. X'Bee operates in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio band 2.4 GHz in most jurisdictions world wide. Data transmission rates vary from 20 to 250 kilobits/second. X'Bee Wireless communication technology is a new generation technology that allows machines to talk effortlessly and minimizes the requirement of scarcely available resources. It has indoor range upto 50 to 60 mtr. Whereas outdoor range upto 1km. It has wide application in following areas

• Medical Data collection.
• Smoke and intruder warning.
• Building automation.
